Ministry - Independent Baptist Builders

C.J. White - Latest Letter:

Dear Praying Friends,

2 Corinthians 12:15 - "And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved."

Paul's words echo the heartbeat of ministry - to joyfully pour out our time, energy, and resources in service to the Lord and His people. In recent months, God has allowed us to do that, and we're thankful for the health, strength, prayer and financial support to continue.

Newman, GA: We were blessed at Emmanuel Baptist Church, a faithful supporting church, to help complete the renovation we began earlier this year. We finished laying flooring and painting throughout the remodeled space. It's been a joy to see how these updates are already being used to deepen discipleship, fellowship and ministry in their congregation.

Sanger, TX: From there, we traveled to Victory Baptist Church, another supporting church, where we assisted with a major renovation project. We remodeled the kitchen and teen Sunday School room/overflow space - taking on tasks like plumbing, electrical, installing a new gas line, moving cabinetry, and installing sheetrock and new countertops.

These improvements helped to reduce sound transfer from the sanctuary and greatly enhanced the functionality of their small, but heavily-used kitchen area. We were also privileged to participate in their annual Missions Conference, which focused on U.S. church planting - an encouraging and convicting time for all of us.

Ringgold, LA: Our next stop brought us back to Southland Christian Camp, where we've jumped into another round of ministry construction. We began with maintenance projects to help get the camp ready for the summer season.

Soon after, we moved into new construction on the coffee shop bookstore building. This new building will allow the previous spaces they occupy to be repurposed for a larger dining hall, better office space, and an expanded sponsor/pastor's lounge - meeting real and growing needs as the camp continues to thrive.

Just this week, 16 campers trusted Christ for salvation on Monday night alone - praise the Lord! Leigh Anne is currently volunteering as part time camp nurse, and our teens are helping with various volunteer roles at camp, including babysitting and service opportunities.

Family Updates:

Isaac and Brittney just celebrated two years of marriage and continue to serve faithfully in their local church!

David is interning again this summer with AERO Missions and serving at Heritage Baptist Church in Opelika, AL. He recently passed his written exam and is preparing for his commercial pilot checkride, which he hopes to take next week. This fall, Lord willing, he will begin Aircraft and Powerplant School (aircraft mechanics) - a necessary next step in his preparation for missions aviation.

The other children are busy with homeschooling, Civil Air Patrol, music lessons and church opportunities.

We are continually humbled that God allows us to serve with the tools He's placed in our hands. From church buildings to camps, kitchens to Sunday School rooms, we desire that each board, wire, and nail might help further the Gospel of Christ.

Thank you for praying, giving, and encouraging us along the way. We truly are being spent gladly - for Him and for His people.

In Christ,

C.J. White and family
