Dear Pastor and Prayer Partners,
God has given us a great first quarter of 2025! This time of year, there is always a swarm of activity, as we participate in camps, conferences, construction projects, church anniversary services, and host guests to our field. As we come to the end of our summertime, it's good to reflect on His faithfulness and His provision.
The Lord allowed us to take several young folks to both the youth camp and the junior's camp in January and February. I'm grateful for my brother and his wife who accompanied our campers and helped with their counseling needs during the week. One young man, Angel, made a profession of faith, while another, Erick, surrendered his life to full-time service. Erick graduated in December and wants to get started in Bible Institute.
We've seen several saved while out soul winning during the week. Recently, we had a mother and daughter get baptized, Mrs. Mildred and Sofia, as well as one of our teen girls, Mirta. Before our daughter, Esther, moved back to the States after graduating in 2021, she had led Mirta to the Lord. A couple of weeks ago my wife had the opportunity to lead Mrs. Nurian to the Lord after the Sunday morning service. She's been faithfully attending services with her family for several months. Praise the Lord for the conviction and work of he Holy Spirit to show her need of salvation. Please pray for these new belivers as they grow in their faith.
We celebrated the 28th anniversary of the mountain church in Cerro Cama. We were also able to get the floor tiled, a project we've wanted to do for several years. The building looks nice and the folks are appreciative!
In the city location, Iglesia Bautista Amistad celebrated their 12th anniversary in March. We enjoyed hosting a group from First Baptist in Seymour, Iowa, during this special time. Praise the Lord I can report that the land next to the church is bought and officially in our name! This is the land with the small building on it that we have rented for years for our teen Sunday School class. God had already provided the money about five years ago for this purchase. It just took time to get the proper paperwork done and the land titled. Project "parking lot" has been started on the new land!
In family news, another sweet granddaughter, Ivey Lucille Cole, was born in February. My wife enjoyed being able to travel Stateside for a few weeks to help Esther and visit the grandbabies. God has been so good and has faithfully brought us through a busy and challening time. Thank you for praying for us and for the ministries here in Panama.
Sincerely,
Missionary Abram Hanson
